Anne was born in Cooks Creek on November 21, 1915. In 1939 she married Peter, and moved to Birds Hill where she raised her family and worked on the family farm. In 1966 the family moved to Narol, and Anne worked in her market garden business, the passion of her life, selling vegetables to her many friends and customers. During her latter years she moved to Transcona to be near her daughter and family. Anne enjoyed cooking, and family and friends always enjoyed feasting on her delicious meals. One memory that Anne was so proud of was being invited to the Governor General's residence in Ottawa to teach his staff in her culinary skills of cooking Ukrainian food. Anne enjoyed her many trips to British Columbia to visit with her family. Trips to California, Las Vegas and Toronto were also a highlight in her life. One of Anne's favourite outings was going to casinos in Winnipeg and Mahnomen with her daughter and family. The family would like to thank the wonderful homecare workers, over the many years, for their care and kindness. The family also wishes to thank the doctors and hospital staff at Concordia Hospital for the excellent care our mother received. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons Trevor, Dustin, David Nykoluk and Gary Jr. Bartman, and family friends Lenny Miller and Douglas Semeniuk.
